Early this Spring, a few members of our crew -- Jim Barry, John Mangrum, and Kipp Van Aken -- converged on the Half Moon's winter berth to completely overhaul the plumbing in the ship's septic system.

While the lion's share of that task was completed at the time, we've decided to further reorganize the vent lines.

Four separate vents will now lead from the central tanks to thru-hulls, two to each side of the ship.

During the current rebuild project, Kipp Van Aken focuses his attention on running these new lines. Here, he drills a hole for a Schedule 80 PVC pipe to run into and through the tool alley.

Back in the sunlight, Kipp cuts PVCs pipes down to size.
